Sales Account Manager (Internal) - Hillfoot, Sheffield 

The main tasks include:

  • Manage designated key accounts on a day-to- day basis ensuring good customer service levels.
  • Build, develop and increase customer performance.
  • Build and develop long term relationships with designated Key customers.
  • Liaise with Office Manager or National Contract Manager on any issues or opportunities with your customer base.
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to order and manage customer specific stocks.
  • Ensure accounts trade within current agreed credit limits.
  • Liaise with Operations and Purchasing staff concerning customer requirements and re ordering of steel.
  • Respond to customer enquiries professionally, promptly and accurately.
  • Produce quotations for customers based on pricing models agreed by the Office Manager or National Contract Manager.
  • Ensure higher customer service levels.

Candidates must have:

  • Minimum 3 years' previous experience within a commercial/business role.
  • A proven track record of management of key accounts in the steel industry.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets within an engineering services sales environment.
  • Broad commercial and industry awareness.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – internal and external.
Senior Sawman - Hillfoot, Sheffield 

We require an experienced Sawman for the role of Senior Sawman, to deputise for the Team Leader through holidays/absence, working closely with the Shop Floor Manager to ensure the production plan and all other production/site requirements are met.

Main duties include: 

  • To deputise for the Team Leader through Holidays/Absence to lead the team to deliver the production plan.
  • To follow predefined warehouse procedures/best practices effectively, to ensure materials are received, cut and despatched accurately, safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements.
  • To book incoming material on to the company ERP system and safely transfer it to the appropriate storage location.
  • To operate sawing equipment to cut steel to the customers ordered requirements.
  • To operate OH cranes, fork lift trucks and sideloaders to safely move material around the warehouse.
  • To carry out routine cleaning and maintenance on saws.
  • To inspect cut items and ensure they meet the required dimensional tolerances.
  • To package material safely and in line with specific customer requirements.
  • To identify cut and bar pick items in accordance with the customer’s requirements.
  • To load vehicles with material for dispatch, ensuring material is loaded and secured safely.
  • To carry out routine checks on forklift trucks, sideloaders and saws and to report any faults to the Shopfloor Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Band saw experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Trained in the operation of an overhead crane, fork lift truck and sideloader

Business Support Administrator - Hillfoot, Sheffield

We require a Business Support Administrator to provide full administrative support to our sales, and operational departments ensuring all customer enquiries and information are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

The key responsibilities will be:

To undertake general administrative tasks within the Sales, Inventory, Dispatch and Purchasing departments, providing effective and efficient support liaising with colleagues and from all departments.

Administrative tasks:

  • Booking in of raw material.
  • Order allocation.
  • Data input of orders, quotes and invoices.
  • Raise and update paperwork for dispatch.
  • Progressing orders.
  • Expediting.
  • Data collation.
  • Production of reports.
  • General office duties.

Qualifications and skills:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The successful candidate should have previous experience in a similar role.

Hours of work 8:30 am -5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Friday.

Business Support Administrator (Maternity Cover) - Hillfoot, Sheffield

We require a Business Support Administrator (Maternity Cover - 12 months) to provide full administrative support to our sales, and operational departments ensuring all customer enquiries and information are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
